I Shop At Target Weekly, And These Are The 21 Snacks I Always Throw In My Cart

There’s a good chance you’ve been sleeping on Target’s snack aisle. Emily has been in the food and beverage industry for over a decade. If you haven’t already tried Khloé Kardashian’s line of protein popcorn, grab a bag ASAP. I prefer the white cheddar flavor to the rest, but they’re all pretty good, and I can’t deny the protein-laden appeal. I’ll chow down on any veggie straws, but Good & Gather’s might be my favorite. I think they’re a little saltier, which just makes them more flavorful — and, of course, they boast a stunning crunch. I’m definitely not a fan of plain rice crackers, but you’ll never find me without a bag of Quaker’s Cheddar Rice Crisps in my pantry. They’re basically a healthier Cheeto, right? That’s what I tell myself… “Why don’t more companies have parmesan and garlic-flavored chips?” I ask myself as I chow down on this sumptuous snack. I still don’t have an answer, but as long as Target keeps them on store shelves, I hardly mind. Whenever I want a good hit of fiber that tastes like an indulgence, there’s only one thing I reach for: Good & Gather’s Iced Oatmeal Cookies. Their name is apt — this really tastes like a cookie, but it has enough whole grains to keep things moving. Sure, you can remain a Ritz devotee, but I think Good & Gather’s Mini Cheddar Cheese Sandwich Crackers are better by a mile. They’re more flavorful, but they’re also bite-sized, and I love not having to worry about crumbs getting on my clothes. On the hunt for candy that’s not really candy? These fruit ropes fit the bill. They’re sweet and a little tangy, with a chewy texture that puts Twizzlers to shame. When you’re in a gourmet mood, there’s only one snack to reach for, in my humble opinion: Brookside’s Dark Chocolate and Pomegranate Snacking Candy. Rich, tart, and a little sweet, they’re perfect alongside a glass of red in a hot bath. Thank me later. I love a cracker that’s great both on its own and paired with spreads or dips, and Good & Gather’s Garlic & Chive Pita Crackers fit the bill perfectly. I’ll munch on these straight from the box when I need a lazy bite; when I’m feeling a little fancier, I’ll add them to a charcuterie board or just dip them in hummus and tzatziki. Chomps makes my go-to jerky stick, and I always have a handful stocked in my pantry for whenever I need a little protein snack. There are plenty of flavors, but I prefer the original beef sticks, which aren’t too salty but still pack a ton of satisfying flavor. I find Good & Gather’s Olive Oil & Himalayan Salt Popcorn to be a little gentler than some of its competitors, which I think is one of its strengths. I’ll reach for this bag when I don’t want to feel a ton of sodium bloating without sacrificing flavor. To answer your immediate question: Yes, the bars do taste like chocolate chip cookie dough. And with only four ingredients, how could I not be an advocate of this impressive snack? Each small bar is filling and plenty satisfying, a huge strength of this offering. LesserEvil is perhaps the most well-known Himalayan salt popcorn brand for a reason — it’s simply divine. I don’t know what they do to make this the most munchable bag of popcorn on the planet, but whatever it is, it’s working. Ah, another garlic parmesan snack! I love the flavor combo, and it especially shines on Pop Daddy’s pretzel sticks. They’re absolutely loaded with the seasoning, and it’ll definitely get your fingers messy, but trust me, it’s so worth it. Sweet potato chips are the best way to consume the vegetable, in my opinion, and you can’t disagree after trying Good & Gather’s crinkle cut offering. Best of all, they’re only made with three ingredients: sweet potatoes, vegetable oil, and sea salt. Chef’s kiss. Ever since I first tried chips from The Good Crisp Company, I’ve been an avid fan. These chips are made without some major allergens, so they’re a good alternative to look into if you can’t eat standard Pringles, but, honestly, I’d choose them over other brands anyway. If you’ve never had Smartfood’s White Cheddar Popcorn, where have you been? It’s time you got turned onto this more nutritious version of traditional white cheddar popcorn. Everyone loves freeze-dried fruit, but Good & Gather’s Freeze-Dried Strawberry Slices are something else. A little sweet, a little tart, and texturally perfect, it’s all too easy for me to eat the whole bag in one go. This trail mix has basically everything you could ever want, but the real star of the show is the peanut butter chips. Combined with M&M’s, peanuts, raisins, and milk chocolate chips, this mix tastes more like candy than hiking fuel. Baked parmesan crisps are my own personal secret to a happy life, and Target makes a great version of the snack; so good, in fact, that I have to exercise major self-restraint with this one. Salty, crispy, and full of potent umami, I wouldn’t be surprised if you find yourself finishing the bag in one sitting, too. Tired of boring ol’ tortilla chips? Then grab the above bag from Target. They’re definitely tortilla chips at their core, but each chip has a little flavorful twist, and the flaxseeds add a welcome crunch. Don’t worry, they’ll still pair perfectly with your favorite salsa.
